India is currently ranked the No.1 team in T20I rankings and they will be favourites in Asia Cup. India will play their first match against arch-rivals Pakistan on 28th August. The weakest link in the Indian squad is fast bowling as there are only 3 fast bowlers in the main squad and both Arshdeep and Avesh Khan are young and inexperienced bowlers.

KL Rahul is named as the vice-captain of the team which means he will play in his original opening position and in the past few series India has tried several openers and Rahul himself is coming from injury and he will play T20 after IPL 2022.
