Gautam Gambhir Career

Gambhir has played some of the most clutch innings for India in his career. he is the winner of the 2007 T20 World Cup, finalist of the 2008 Asia Cup, winner of the 2010 Asia Cup, and winner of the 2011 World Cup.

As a captain Gambhir is considered as one of the most successful captains in the history of the IPL. Gambhir was never given full-time captaincy of the Indian team but in IPL he won two titles as captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders. He won titles with KKR in 2012 and 2014. Gautam Gambhir also qualified for the IPL playoffs in 2011, 2016, and 2017.

After his retirement, Gambhir mentored Lucknow Supergiants in their first two seasons in the IPL. Lucknow played under the leadership of KL Rahul and in the first two seasons, they qualified for playoffs.

Gambhir’s biggest achievement as coach came in 2024 when he joined his old team KKR as a mentor in IPL 2024. KKR won the title after 10 years and it was Gautam Gambhir who was the mastermind behind KKR’s successful triumph.
