The announcement of the new date follows a Kotaku report indicating that Rockstar was concerned that GTA 6 work was lagging and would affect the 2025 release window.

A number of Rockstar’s developers have voiced concerns about the company’s decision to return all of its staff to full-time in-office employment five days a week, especially in light of possible implications for the sequel.

GTA 6 Platforms: PS5 & Xbox Series

It has been revealed thus far that GTA 6 will launch on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement that “GTA 6 is coming to PlayStation 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X|S games and entertainment systems in 2025” was made public by Take-Two in an official press release.

According to the official press release, GTA 6 will only be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X when it comes in 2025; it will not be available on the PS4 or Xbox One. This means that it is a current-gen exclusive game.

Is GTA 6 going to be released for PC?

As of right now, there’s no word on a PC release, which could indicate that it will go the same path as some of the previous GTA games, which came out on consoles first and then made their way to the PC later.
