Forbes list: Kohli at 66th position, Roger Federer becomes world's richest player

Sports Desk- The annual Forbes magazine on Friday released the list of the world’s richest players. Veteran tennis player Roger Federer has become the highest-earning player in the world. While on the Forbes list, star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is second and Lionel Messi is third. Apart from this, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is at number 66 with a gross of Rs 196 crores.

The Swiss star Federer, who won a record 20 Grand Slam singles titles, earned $ 106.3 million (about Rs 802 crore) in 12 months, which he has achieved through a $ 100 million deal.

Talking about Indian players, only Virat Kohli is in the top-100. Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, is at number 66, earning $ 26 million (about Rs 196 crore). Kohli was at number 100 in 2019 with a gross of Rs 173.3 crore.

Argentina and Barcelona star Messi, who topped last year, slipped to third place with around 785 crores ($ 105 million). Ronaldo of Portugal has earned about Rs 793 crore ($ 104 million) last year. Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr. is at number four in the list with earnings of about Rs 722 crore ($ 95.5 million) and American basketball player LeBron James ($ 88.2 million) is in the top five.
