So why did these fans protest against Glazer’s ownership? Let us tell you the summary of what happened in April 2021.

Florentino Perez proposed the idea of the European Super League to 15 biggest clubs in Europe. Only 12 clubs accepted the proposal.

Fans protested against the Super League idea for 3 days until the league was suspended. These 3 days were one of the darkest days in football history, but fans finally took their victory.

“This is a collective decision from the police, both clubs, the Premier League and local authorities,” said the Premier League.

“The security and safety of everyone at Old Trafford remains of paramount importance,” added the Premier League.

“We understand and respect the strength of feeling but condemn all acts of violence, criminal damage and trespass, especially given the associated Covid-19 breaches.

“We sympathize with the police and stewards who had to deal with a dangerous situation that should have no place in football.”

Manchester Untied was one of the 12 clubs who accepted the idea. Though Man Utd fans protested against the idea before, but they weren’t satisfied with that.

Even though the league was suspended, Man Utd fans wants to snatch Glazer’s ownership on the club. If this happens, Man Utd fans will have their greatest victory.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently second in the Premier League and a Liverpool win on Sunday would have handed Manchester City the title for the third time in four seasons.

Talks will now take place about rearranging the game.
