Leo Messi will miss out the last La Liga game of this season
Lionel Messi has been given the permission to take a break ahead of the upcoming Copa America next month.
Barcelona’s next and final La Liga fixture of this season is against Eibar and Messi will surely miss it.
Barca is already out of the title race after facing a 1-2 defeat against Celta Vigo. The only race left is between table toppers Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.

Here is Barca’s statement: “Leo Messi has not trained on Friday with the coach’s permission and he will not be in the squad for the game against Eibar on Saturday. The striker can enjoy a rest before next month’s Copa América after a season in which he is one of the players in the squad who has played most.”
Messi did not train on Friday because of the same reason mentioned above. He is the second player to be sent on holiday early after Barca confirmed that Pedri has been given time off after a busy schedule.
However, Messi will still finish as La Liga’s top scorer this season with 30 goals in 35 appearances.
