On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Newcastle United 1-3 thanks to Harry Kane, Son, and Ndombele’s goals. They are currently 5th on Premier League points table while Newcastle are 19th.

During the game, a medical emergency was spotted by Sergio Reguilon and Eric Dier. Both the players were taken off the pitch while the person received treatment in the East Stand.

Reguilon spotted something wrong in the stands, so he alerted the referee about the incident. Eric Dier sprinted to inform the medic to get a defibrillator taken over to the other side of the pitch.

This was really a heroic gesture by both the players and they were praised a lot by both the teams for their selfless actions. They did save a person’s life who got a cardiac arrest probably due to the match intensity.

The stabilized person was taken to the nearby hospital.

Sky Sports took a break from their in match telecast. David Ginola spoke eloquently on the situation revealing that he himself had a cardiac arrest on the pitch during a charity game.
