Sports Desk – The 7th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2019 is set to begin on Saturday with the Telugu Titans taking on the U Mumba at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. In the 2nd match of the day, defending champions Bengaluru Bulls will take on three-time champions Patna Pirates at the same venue.
As of the scoreline, U Mumba defeated Telugu Titans by 25-31.
Ahead of the season opener on Friday, all the captains came together to speak about the excitement of Pro Kabaddi 2019, the 12 captains seemed confident of their strategies and plans, but at the same time expressed that they can’t take any of the teams lightly.
The team combination of almost all the teams have been changed from last season. Haryana Steelers have a new captain and coach this year while Tamil Thalaivas has bought star raider Rahul Chaudhary, who for the first time in Pro Kabaddi history will play for team other than Telugu Titans.
