2004 final was a special one as after that no French Open final has gone to 5 sets. It was between two Argentinian fellows Gaston Gaudio and Guillermo Coria. Gaudio was not even seeded before the tournament. Roger Federer was the top seed to win the major but he was out in the third round. Gaudio lost the first two sets badly in the final but then he made an exceptional comeback and won the next three sets and also won the French Open title. Gaudio won by 0-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, 8-6.
