#5 Parupalli Kashyap

Although he lost the final to Lon Fan in that tournament his smash was the fourth fastest in the world. Axelsen is also the bronze medallist of the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Jan O Jorgensen is a retired badminton player from Denmark. He is 2016 Malaysia open superseries Jorgensen played a smash of 407 kmph which was the third-fastest smash in badminton’s history. Jorgensen lost the game against Lee Chong Wei who was a strong representative of the host nation at that time.

In 2015, in Hong Kong, open Malaysia’s superstar shuttler Lee Chong Wei was making a comeback on badminton court after getting into doping in 2014. In the Premier Badminton League of 2017, Mads Pieler Kolding was playing for Chennai Smashers against Mumbai rockets. During the match, Kolding played a smash of 426 kmph which is the fastest in badminton’s history. Kolding is a Danish player and not so popular in the badminton world but his height of more than 6 feet gave him the advantage to hit a shot like that. He is also a doubles player which makes him the only doubles player to make his name on this list.
