- 2008 – 2008 was the inaugural season of IPL where Century came in the first match of IPL from former Kiwi captain, Brendon McCullum for Kolkata Knight Riders against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
- 2009 – in 2009 it was AB De Villiers who made the first century of the season but not for Royal Challengers Bangalore. At that time, he used to play for Delhi Daredevils.
