In reply, England were on the back foot after two early breakthroughs. However, it was their game at 170 for 5 but they eventually collapsed to 212 all-out in 47 overs. Although a better performance by Sri Lanka ensured them a memorable win., it shouldn’t be forgotten that Ben Stokes scored a masterful 82* that so nearly took his side home .
