After winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, India will go to Sri Lanka to play T20I and ODI series against Sri Lanka. It will be India’s second tour after the 2024 T20 World Cup. The first was against Zimbabwe where India sent a team full of youngsters but the 2024 Sri Lanka tour will be important because Gautam Gambhir will start his coaching career with this tour and according to some reports Hardik Pandya will lead the team India in T20Is and KL Rahul will lead the team in ODIs. Big names like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will remain absent from the tour.

Rohit Sharma is continuing as ODI captain.
