Pakistan recalls Fawad Alam after 10 years for sri lanka test series

Sports Desk – Pakistan has included 34-year-old middle-order batsman Fawad Alam in the team after 10 years for the Test series against Sri Lanka. Chief selector and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq said on Saturday that Fawad Alam has been selected only after seeing the recent great performance in domestic cricket.

The series against Sri Lanka is part of the ICC World Test Championship which will start in Rawalpindi from 11 December. The second Test will be held in Karachi from 19 to 23 December. Alam played the last Test match against New Zealand in 2009 in Dunedin. He scored a century in the debut Test against Sri Lanka in July 2009.

In this way, Pakistan has made two changes in the 16-man squad that lost badly in the two-Test series against Australia. Fawad Alam has been included in the team in place of Iftikhar Ahmed. At the same time, fast bowler Usman Shinwari has been included in the place of young fast bowler Mohammad Moses. Misbah said that Moses would continue with the Test team and continue to work with bowling coach Waqar Younis.
