BCCI which is the cricket board of India is the richest cricket board in the world. There are many categories in BCCI’s annual contract according to which players get their annual salaries from the board. On Wednesday BCCI announced some changes and updates in the annual contract. In this article, we will tell you the names of the players who are dropped from BCCI contracts.

There are four brackets in BCCI’s annual contract list where the A+ bracket is the highest and C is the lowest in terms of annual salary given by BCCI to the players. Indian wicketkeeper batsmen Ishan Kishan and right-handed middle order batsmen, Shreyas Iyer are dropped from the BCCI contract. Earlier there were news and speculations about them being dropped from the contract and on 28th February BCCI confirmed that they are not more part of the central contract.

The reason to drop them is their absence from the Ranji Trophy matches. BCCI has mentioned it very clearly that if a player is not representing the national team he should play in domestic leagues. Both Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were not part of the national team and also, they were absent in Ranji matches. BCCI gave them many warnings but they did not listen. Ishan left the team before the series against South Africa where he gave reason to manage his workload. Iyer was out after playing two matches against England in February where he gave reason for pain in his back. They both were neither in NCA nor they were in Ranji matches.
