Angelo Mathews married Heshani Silva in the year 2013. You will be surprised to know that the marriage of Mathews-Heshani was organized by the former President of Sri Lanka, Mahindra Rajapaksa.

First Mathews confessed his love to Heshani. Heshani first told her mother about this relationship. The mother gave both of them full time to understand each other. Mathews speaks less and because of this nature he kept his relationship a secret till the end. The couple was married on July 18, 2013. This wedding was organized by former Sri Lankan President Mahindra Rajapaksa and Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
