Young Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna who was part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in IPL 2024 will not play in the upcoming season of the IPL. It was a big blow for Rajasthan as he was their main Indian pacer. In this article, we will tell you why Prasidh Krishna is not playing in IPL 2024.

On Tuesday BCCI gave several updates on IPL 2024 where they also mentioned about the unavailability of Prasifh Krishna who is a centrally contracted player in IPL 2024. He was part of the Rajasthan team as RR brought him in the 2022 mega auction at a whopping 10 crore price. Krishna was a very strong reason behind Rajasthan’s success in the 2022 season where he picked 19 wickets in 14 games for the franchise.

He missed the 2023 season because of an injury and in 2024 he will once again miss the whole tournament. According to BCCI there, the medical team was monitoring Krishna’s condition after he went for surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon. BCCI in a statement said that it will take time in the rehabilitation of Prasidh Krishna’s surgery. He will spend time in NCA.

Prasidh Krishna was an important part of the Rajasthan team. In 2023 his absence was a big reason behind Rajasthan’s exit from the group stage. He made his comeback in the Ireland series in 2023 after that he struggled in the Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka. Krishna was given a chance in 2024 South Africa tests but he picked only 2 wickets in 3 innings. Rajasthan will replace him with either Navdeep Saini or Sandeep Sharma who can as a replacement for Prasidh Krishan in 2023.
