Meanwhile, after the announcement of the Indian team, now Australia has also announced its 15-member squad for the tournament. Mitchell Marsh has been officially named the captain of Australia for the T20 World Cup.
Australia’s experienced batsman Steve Smith has been dropped from the team for T20 World Cup 2024. Perhaps he was not included in the squad considering the wet pitches of West Indies and USA.
Left-arm spinner Ashton Agar has returned in 2022 despite not playing a T20I since the last T20 World Cup on Australian soil, while Marcus Stoinis, Tim David and Cameron Green have joined the final squad with Glenn Maxwell as the all-rounder options.
