Antoine Griezmann has declared his desire to play in Major League Soccer while on international duty

Antoine Griezmann of Atletico Madrid has informed fans that he will be visiting the United States of America sooner or later.

Griezmann, 32, has been in brilliant form for Atletico Madrid for much of the last year, and no one in Spain has contributed to more La Liga goals than he has. Griezmann revealed to Diario AS before of France’s friendly against now-managerless Germany that he is still not at 100% this season.

He was also questioned about the influx of elite players leaving European football this summer for lucrative contracts in Saudi Arabia. He, like Dani Carvajal before him, felt sympathy for those who had died.

“I understand those who have gone to play there. We are talking about incredible sums of money. Even though we make a lot of money, some want to protect their children and grandchildren, and that seems normal to me. They will have the obligation to play well and show all their talent.”

Griezmann can sympathize with individuals who travel to the Middle East for money, but he didn’t see it coming for himself.

“Could I go? I have a family and three children. It is not an easy decision to make. But as you know, MLS is still my goal.”

Griezmann is an avid NBA basketball enthusiast who has spent several summer vacations in the United States immersed in the culture. He currently has a contract until 2026, and it’s difficult to imagine him leaving the Metropolitano when he’s at the top of his game.

If he still wants to play in the 2026 World Cup, he should probably stay in Europe before making the move to Major League Soccer. Griezmann will be 35 at the time.
