Season Breakdown

Premier League

  • Winners – Manchester City
  • UEFA Champions League – Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur
  • UEFA Europa League – Manchester United, Arsenal
  • Relegated – Burnley, Watford, Norwich City

The final matchday of 2021/22 Premier League season gave us one of the greatest moments in football history. Manchester City made a historic comeback against Aston Villa just when Liverpool’s hopes for the title raised for a bit.

Ilkay Gundogan was the one who produced the ‘Aguero’ moment in the last minutes of the game when both the clubs were drawing 2-2 at a time.

La Liga

  • Winners – Real Madrid
  • UEFA Champions League – Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla
  • UEFA Europa League – Real Betis, Real Sociedad
  • Relegated – Granada, Levante, Alaves

Real Madrid won their 35th La Liga title under the management of Carlo Ancelotti. They will play the UCL final against Liverpool on 28th May and are expecting to lift their 14th competition trophy.

Serie A

  • Winners – AC Milan
  • UEFA Champions League – AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, Juventus
  • UEFA Europa League – Lazio, Roma
  • Relegated – Cagliari, Genoa, Venezia

AC Milan won their 19th Serie A title after defeating Sassuolo on the final matchday of the season. Zlatan Ibrahimovic may not have helped as much as his teammates but he surely brought some ‘good luck’ and motivation for the club.

Bundesliga

  • Winners – Bayern Munich
  • UEFA Champions League – Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Frankfurt
  • UEFA Europa League – FC Union, SC Freiburg
  • Relegated – FC Celtic, Arminia

Bayern Munich lifted their 31st Bundesliga title and it was, most probably, Robert Lewandowski’s last season with them. He said he want new challenges (to paly in a tougher league) and Barcelona are the favorites to sign him this summer.

Ligue 1

  • Winners – Paris Saint Germain
  • UEFA Champions League – PSG, Marseille, AS Monaco
  • UEFA Europa League – FC Nantes, Rennes
  • Relegated – FC Metz, Bordeaux
