However, Haaland’s father Alfie Haaland and agent Mino Raiola landed in Barcelona and were picked up by Joan Laporta’s assistant for talks, as Catalanas bid to lead the €154m transfer race.

That’s a very huge amount to spend. Barcelona were in critical situation a couple of months ago when they were suffering a financial crisis.

But now the situation is better and they have enough amount to spend on a big transfer. Laporta is again Barca’s president after he was sacked by the club in 2014 before signing their most successful president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Haaland’s biggest rival Kylian Mbappe is the second most expensive transfer in football history. First is always Neymar who was signed by PSG from Barcelona for an incredible huge amount of €222m.

Real Madrid is keen to sign Mbappe this summer. Mbappe told his club that if he will not be able to win UCL this season for them, he’s gonna leave the club this summer. Madrid is the priority for him and he seriously want to join them this year.
