Kylian Mbappe Yelled ‘I am staying here’ in his goal celebration against Toulouse

After scoring on his return to the team, Kylian Mbappe appeared to confirm his determination to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.

Toulouse held Luis Enrique’s team to a 1-1 draw after the French superstar came off the bench and scored from the penalty spot.

Mbappe hopped over the advertising boards in joy and rejoiced in front of PSG fans, yelling, ‘I am staying here, I am staying here.’

The Frenchman was left out of PSG’s 0-0 draw with Lorient on the first day of the season due to concerns over his future at the club.

After refusing to sign a contract extension, the striker was forced to practice with the club’s ‘undesirables’ away from the main group. His existing contract had less than a year remaining.

The 2018 World Cup winner did not participate in PSG’s pre-season trip of Asia, and it had been suggested that he would be kept out of the main group for the foreseeable future.

His shirts were also withdrawn from the club shop as the club’s hierarchy in Paris attempted to push the 24-year-old to agree a permanent contract or loan move that would allow the club to recoup part of their investment in their major asset.

However, he returned to first-team training last weekend and made his season debut on Saturday night.

Mbappe turned down a move to Al-Hilal earlier this summer after the Saudi club made a world record deal of £259 million.

He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid as a free agent next summer, with PSG keen to prevent such a scenario in order to secure a high fee for him.

Kylian Mbappe is back in the fold after ‘good negotiations,’ but his future at the club remains uncertain, with Real Madrid apparently preparing to launch a bid for the striker.
