According to media reports, 2-time IPL champion KKR has selected Ali Khan over England’s fast bowler Harry Gurney, but the IPL is yet to be approved. Gurney has to undergo a shoulder operation due to which he has withdrawn from the IPL and the Vitality Blast League in England.
Ali Khan was part of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) team which won the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2020) title on Thursday. He took 8 wickets in 8 matches. Khan did well in the 2018 Canada Global T20. He has also played in Bangladesh Premier League and Pakistan Super League.
