Sports Desk- Former Australia captain Michael Clarke and his wife Kyly are divorced. Michael Clarke won Australia the World Cup in 2015. The couple announced their separation in a joint statement to The Australian on Wednesday. The couple confirmed the development on Wednesday and in their statement stated that the decision was taken amicably.
The couple got married in May of 2012 and have a four-year-old daughter Kelsey Lee together.
“After living apart for some time, we have made the difficult decision to separate as a couple, amicably,” the statement read.
“With the greatest of respect for each other, we’ve come to the mutual conclusion that this is the best course for us to take while committed to the co-parenting of our daughter.”
According to The Australian, their divorce is reportedly worth 40 million Australian dollars (192 crores in INR). The financial settlement was agreed upon by the couple out of court. While Clarke has moved to his $8 million beachfront houses in Bondi, Kyly is expected to continue to occupy the couple’s home in Vaucluse with daughter Kelsey.
