After losing the toss in this match, Team India came out to bat first and was all out for 242 runs in the first innings. Hanuma Vihari scored the highest score of 55 for Team India while Cheteshwar Pujara and Prithvi Shaw scored 54-54. Kyle Jameson took 5 wickets for New Zealand.
