The event was organized under Project Mumbai’s SATRANG program, which promotes civic pride and community participation through public space enhancement. As Project Mumbai’s Brand Champion, de Villiers spent the day volunteering across the city, engaging in activities that foster inclusivity and community spirit.
Beyond the Cricket Field: Community Engagement
Besides playing wheelchair cricket, de Villiers visited a BMC municipal school in Malabar Hill, where he helped paint classrooms to create a welcoming environment for students. He also participated in a paper bag-making workshop with underprivileged children at the CSSC Centre, further highlighting his commitment to community service.
