Nepalese batsman, Dipendra Singh Airee on Saturday, April 13th created history by becoming the first Nepalese player to smash 6 sixes in an over in a T20 match. He is Nepal’s most dangerous batsman. Nepal was playing against Qatar in ACC men’s Premier Cup matches at Al Amerat. Nepal was batting first and they were 174 for 7 before last over. One of the most dangerous batsmen of Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee was playing on 28 off 15 in the last over. Medium pacer Kamran Khan was bowling the last over for Qatar. Airee smashed him for 6 sixes in 6 legal deliveries of that over.

He helped Nepal to register a mammoth target of 210 and made 64 off 21 balls. Qatar fell short of chasing it and lost the game. Airee also took 2 wickets when Nepal was bowling.

Airee became the third player in the history of T20 cricket and 5th overall to smash 6 sixes in an over in an international game. Earlier it was Yuvraj Singh who did it against England, Kieron Pollard against Sri Lanka, Herschelle Gibbs of South Africa against the Netherlands, and Jaskaran Malhotra of the USA against Papa New Guinea. Airee is an extremely talented player. He is 24 years old and already made a name in the cricket world. He played 60 T20Is and 55 ODIs for Nepal in his career so far.
