Shashank Singh Career

In the ongoing IPL 2024, in a match between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings, Gujarat decided to bat first and gave Punjab a target of 200. Punjab lost 4 early wickets and it was looking impossible for Punjab to chase that target. 32-year-old Shashank Singh from Chhattisgarh came to bat for Punjab Kings. He made 61* off 29 balls and won the game for his team. He scored 6 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. It was one of the best innings of IPL 2024. Shashank played the innings of his life and made his team win from a very difficult situation.

The 32-year-old batting all-rounder is originally from Chhattisgarh but shifted to Mumbai for his career. He then shifted to Puducherry but later came to his home state, Chhattisgarh to represent his team in domestic cricket. He is a very talented player and was part of many IPL teams.

From 2015 to 2020 he was part of Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals but he was on the bench for whole seasons. His breakthrough season came with SRH when he got a chance in 2022 but he failed to capitalize on those opportunities. Finally, his glory days came with Punjab Kings and now he is a match-winner for them after his special innings against Gujarat.
