His first game was a remarkable match against Spain that ended 3-3, Ronaldo scored all three goals for Portugal, making him the oldest player to score a World Cup hat-trick. He then scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Morocco. In the game against Iran, Portugal drew 1-1 and Ronaldo missed a penalty. Is Ronaldo taking Retirement after 2026 World Cup?
Cristiano Ronaldo plans to retire from professional football after the next FIFA World Cup. He wants to protect his reputation, spend more time with his family and work on business projects, and avoid playing at a lower level for too long. After a long, successful career full of trophies, records, and hard work, retiring after the World Cup would let him leave on his own terms while still playing at the biggest stage.
Ronaldo’s World Cup legacy isn’t about winning one big title. It’s about being steady, breaking records, and scoring goals in six different tournaments.
