CR7 becomes first European men's player to score 100 international goals

Sports Desk – Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) became the second man to score 100 international goals, hitting the landmark for Portugal in Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League match against Sweden.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo sensational free-kick for Portugal against Sweden in the Nations League. Portugal won the match 2–0.

Juventus forward Ronaldo is now just nine goals behind Iranian Ali Daei, who holds the world-record for most international goals (109) for his country.

Ronaldo has made individual accolades a trademark of his career and after hitting the 101-goal milestone will be desperate to beat Daei’s record.

Ronaldo last scored for Portugal in November 2019 against Luxembourg and ended his wait with a delightful free-kick from outside the box.

The 35 year-old Cristiano goal was also the 57th of his career from a direct free-kick and the 10th in his nation’s colours.
