Cristiano Ronaldo has set another record in international football

Cristiano Ronaldo is unstoppable and he has shown it again. On Wednesday, Portugal defeated Luxembourg 5-0 in the world cup qualifiers.

Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in the game, two goals through penalties and one header. It was his 10th international hat-trick that means no other player has scored more international hat-tricks than him.

Here are the nations Ronaldo has scored a hat-trick against:

  1. Northern Ireland – 2013
  2. Sweden – 2013
  3. Armenia – 2015
  4. Andorra – 2016
  5. Faroe Islands – 2017
  6. Spain – 2018
  7. Switzerland – 2019
  8. Lithuania – 2019
  9. Lithuania – 2019
  10. Luxembourg – 2021

The 36-year-old has contributed 11 goals and an assist in his last 8 appearances for Portugal. In 2021, he has scored 38 goals so far, one more than Lionel Messi.

This year’s Ballon d’Or will be so interesting to watch. There will be a tough competition between Robert Lewandowski, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Jorginho.
