EURO 2020 Quarter-final: Spain beat Switzerland on penalties and advance to semi-final

Switzerland faced Spain in their Quarter-final match of UEFA Euro 2020.

The first Quarter-final match of UEFA Euro 2020 will be played between Switzerland and Spain. The latter defeated their opponent on penalties (1-3).

The first goal of the match was an own goal, scored by Switzerland’s Denis Zakaria in 8th minute. The first half ended with Spain leading by a goal.

In the second half, Xherdan Shaqiri scored an equalizer in 68th minute. All went well for Switzerland until Remo Freuler’s red card in 77th minute.

The final score ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. The game went on extra time but Yann Sommer was looking in his beast mode and made many sensational saves for the Swiss side.

Penalties were the only option left, in which Spain took the victory and advanced to semi-final. They will face Italy for the final clash.
