Here we show you Bayern Munich’s lineup with Joao Cancelo as their right-back

Joao Cancelo has signed a loan contract with Bayern Munich and their defense is already looking as fierce as a lion. It will be amazing to see Cancelo and Davies playing together.

The Portuguese defender is undoubtedly one of the best defenders and probably the best full-back in the world. He however still needs to achieve his dream of winning the UEFA Champions League that he couldn’t with Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s main focus is not on winning the Premier League but the Champions League anyhow this season. It was a weird move by Man City letting go of a talented defender like him so easily.

Let’s see how Bayern could lineup with Joao Cancelo.

  • Leory Sane – LW
  • Choupo-Moting – ST
  • Serge Gnabry – RW
  • Jamal Musiala – CM
  • Leon Goretzka – CDM
  • Joshua Kimmich – CDM
  • Alphonso Davies – LB
  • Dayot Upamecano – CB
  • Matthijs De Ligt – CB
  • Joao Cancelo – RB
  • Yann Sommer – GK

In January, Bayern made a masterpiece move by signing Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach. With him defending the shots, this team looks simply unstoppable.

Bundesliga’s points table is looking so tight and the surprising thing is that Bayern are just a point ahead of the second position Union Berlin.

Their captain Manuel Neuer is currently on bed recovering from his injury. Sommer will be a great backup for the German club, not to mention Cancelo’s presence is like a boon to Julian Naglesmann.

Bayern’s defense will face PSG’s attacking trio in the Champions League on 15th February 2023. It will be an all-out war between two of the best teams in the world.

PSG have never won a UCL title in their history. Considering how good Bayern’s full-backs are, the French club will be in even a greater problem against them.

But as we all know it’s MNM (Messi, Neymar, Mbappe) Bayern will be facing, so it will not be an easy task for the German defense to stop them.
