Manchester City is close to a £100m transfer agreement with Aston Villa for Jack Grealish. Villa is expected to pursue Norwich’s Todd Cantwell once Grealish deal is final.

Jack’s move to City would create a new transfer record in Premier League. That means it would eclipse Paul Pogba’s 2016 transfer to Manchester United.

City offered their £100m offer on Friday. Now it could be understood why Villa are willing to let Grealish leave for the Premier League champions.

Grealish has been training with his Villa team-mates in London this week. Let us tell you he was given an extended break after playing for England at Euro 2020.

The 24 year old mid-fielder will now have to decide whether he wants to stay at his boyhood club or would represent the biggest transfer in English football history.

During the transfer window, Villa offered Grealish a contract extension earlier this summer, despite him signing a five-year deal last September.

For Aston Villa, Jack Grealish has made over 200 appearances and has scored 32 goals.
