On-Loan Jessie Lingard wins April’s Premier League POTM

We all know that Jessie Lingard is a class player. He has overcome his poor form and is finally representing as one of the best Premier League players.

After scoring four goals in four games last month, Lingard has won the Premier League Player of the Month trophy.

The 28 year old has a direct involvement of 12 goals since his debut for West Ham United in February. He has scored 9 goals by his own and has provided 3 assists. Only Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho posts better figures than Lingard.

Lingard said he was suffering from bad mental health condition during the lockdown and battled his mother’s depression too.

“I was going into games happy sitting on the bench, and that’s not me,” he said.

“My mind wasn’t there, I wasn’t focused at all.”

“I opened up to United and told them what I was going through, what my mum was going through, and they’re always there to help.

“I’ve had other doctors that have helped which has been brilliant and, during the lockdown, I got my head together.

“I feel lockdown has transitioned me in a way. I watch my old games back, the World Cup games and the old games I used to play, and I think, ‘yeah, that’s the real Jesse Lingard’.”

Watching Jessi back in form is a real pleasure for England national team and Manchester United fans.
