Fans reacted as Joao Felix appeared to mimic Cristiano Ronaldo’s famous celebration in a 5-0 win against Betis.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s old celebration was on display at Real Betis’ home field as Barcelona cruised to a 5-0 win in La Liga. After scoring the game’s opening goal, Portuguese forward Joao Felix duplicated the celebration.

Champions Barcelona were coming off three consecutive victories and were looking to make it four when Real Betis arrived to town. Following their deadline-day arrival, Portuguese duo Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo were given full debuts by manager Xavi.

Felix opened the scoring for his new team 25 minutes into his complete debut for the Blaugrana. After being discovered by Oriol Romeu, the Portuguese star required two attempts to send the ball in the back of the net.

His post-game celebration brought back 15-year-old memories of Cristiano Ronaldo. He stood with his arms held out and shrugged, keeping the appearance of someone who didn’t give a damn about anything.

Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo’s fans reacted to the forward’s celebration on X (previously Twitter). In a post, one of them drew attention to the parallels between the celebrations.
