Juventus star and his girlfriend test positive for coronavirus

Sports Desk- The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) is increasing day by day all over the world. People infected with coronavirus are coming forward. Now Juventus’s star footballer was found infected with the coronavirus.

Argentine international and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala confirmed on Saturday that he and his girlfriend Oriana have tested positive for novel coronavirus. He is the third Argentina player to be found positive for coronavirus. while former AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini revealed that he and his son have also been infected.

“Hi everyone, I just wanted to inform you that we have received the results for the Covid-19 test and both Oriana and I have tested positive,” Dybala posted on Twitter.

Dybala announced that he and his girlfriend are in “perfect condition” and that he thanks his fans for their messages.

Italian champions Juventus said that Dybala had been self-isolating since Wednesday.

“He will continue to be monitored. He is well and is asymptomatic,” said the club in a statement.

Later Saturday, the club said Maldini, now the technical director at Milan, and his 18-year-old son Daniel, a youth team player, were also battling the disease.

Italy’s top football league, Serie A has been postponed until April 3 as the global sporting calendar has been jolted by novel coronavirus outbreak. Only recently, the English football season suspension, including Premier League, was extended at least until the end of April.
