Paris Saint Germain won the French Coupe de France title

PSG extended their 14th cup win after a perfect duo combination against AS Monaco. Mauro Icardi and Kylian Mbappe scored a goal each to secure their title win.

The first goal was scored by Icardi as he missed no opportunity to kick the ball into the ball after a terrible mistake by Monaco’s defender.

Mbappe hit the bar with a fine chip in the 80th, but clipped a shot into the bottom corner from Angel Di Maria’s pass moments later.

“We work every day to experience this type of emotion, reward and recognition. The work of a whole group, the staff, and the supporters who could not be here. We think about them a lot, this title is also for them,” Mbappe said.

“When you play for PSG, one of the biggest clubs in the world, the biggest club in the country, every title counts to go down in history. We want to be part of this story, it’s a great step today.”

Mbappe is the top scorer of the league with 26 goals. He may not win the Ballon d’Or this year but has gave a great performance under Mauricio Pochettino. Pochettino won his first trophy as a PSG manager after being sacked by Tottenham in 2020.
