International wrestling is all set to make a comeback for the first time after the coronavirus pandemic struck, with the Individual Wrestling World Cup all set to start today at Belgrade, Serbia. The tournament will be played from December 12 to December 18, 2020.
In this, 25 (8 female and 17 male) wrestlers from India will enter the freestyle and Greco Roman events. Narsingh Yadav (74kg weight category), who won the quota in the Rio Olympics, will enter the ring for the first time after a 4-year ban.
Narsingh failed the dope test just before the Rio Games. He was banned for 4 years for being banned.
