Sports Desk – Eight-time Olympic gold-winning sprinter Usain Bolt has been found to be Corona positive. According to media reports, Bolt had a party with guests including English footballer Raheem Sterling on his 34th birthday in Jamaica, a day before he was found to be Corona positive.

Jamaica’s health ministry confirmed late on Monday that Bolt, who holds world records in the 100m and 200m distance, had tested positive after he posted a video on social media around midday saying he was waiting to hear back on his results.

In a video on Twitter, Bolt confirmed that he would go into self-isolation and said, “Good morning everybody. I’m confirmed of Covid-19. I did a test on Saturday.”

“[I’m] trying to be responsible so I’m going to stay in, and stay away from my friends. And also, I am having no symptoms, so I am going to quarantine myself,” he added.

“I will wait and see what is the protocol and how should I go about quarantining myself, from the Ministry of Health. Just to be safe, I have quarantined myself, and just to take it easy. Be safe over there.”
