There are mixed opinions for CSK’s auction as some specialists think that they got the best auction whereas some think the opposite of it. So, after analysing CSK’s squad here is the best possible playing 11 of Chennai Super Kings.

- Top order
The top order comprises openers and No.3 batter. In the case of Chennai Super Kings, there is no better option left other than Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway for openers. Ruturaj Gaikwad was an orange cap holder in the previous season of IPL and has done a great job for CSK. Devon Conway of New Zealand will be another opener who is again a very experienced batter when it comes to T20 cricket. This left- and right-hand combination at the opening will be perfect for CSK. At No.3 Moeen Ali will be the best option as he has done well at No.3 for CSK in the previous season.
In our playing 11 of CSK middle order comprises Ambati Rayudu at 4, Shivam Dube at 5, Ravindra Jadeja at 6, and MS Dhoni at 7. Ambati Rayudu is a very experienced batsman and he is playing in IPL for a very long time. Chennai was very clear when his name came to auction. At 5 Shivam Dube is a perfect choice as he is a decent middle-order batsman who can also bowl. He can also play big shorts. At 6 Ravindra Jadeja should come ahead of Dhoni as he is in brilliant form and he also developed the ability to finish the game. At 7 it is the captain himself and we all know who other than MS Dhoni can finish a cricket match better.
Chennai has no shortage of all-rounders. Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Dwyane Bravo, Moeen Ali and Rajvardhan Hangargekar. They all are of different abilities and different bowling techniques. They all can finish the game single-handed and it will be the biggest positive for Chennai.
The bowling department of CSK looks quite weak as you cannot see many fast-bowling options but in our playing 11, we have four fast bowlers of different abilities. Deepak Chahar can open the innings and he’s got the ability to swing the bowl. Dwayne Bravo is famous for his death over slow yorkers. Adam Milne can provide fulfill that pace department as he can bowl with good speed and at last Rajvardhan Hangargekar is again a very young talent who can also start the innings with the bowl. We all have seen him in the Under-19 world cup this year. Spinners are Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja who can bowl in middle overs.
