#5 Sandeep Patil

In 1982 former Indian world cup winning player Sandeep Patil made the fifth highest individual score in tests at No 7 position. India was playing against England in Manchester and Patil scored 129* in 196 balls while batting at No.7 in the first innings of India. Patil smashed 18 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.

#4 Polly Umrigar

For No.4 we have to go to England’s tour of India in 1952 and it was the Chennai test in which Polly Umrigar of India played a 130* runs knock against England while batting at No.7 for India. Polly Umrigar’s 130* is the 4th highest individual score of an Indian while batting at No.7.

#3 Rishabh Pant

India’s explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant played at No.7 in 2019 against Australia. It was that historic 2018-19 tour of India to Australia when in the fourth test at Sydney, Rishabh Pant made 159* off 189 balls while batting at No.7 for India. Which is the third-highest individual score at No.7 for India.

In 1986 Sri Lanka came to India and it was Indian captain Kapil Dev who came to bat at the No 7 position in the Kanpur test match. Kapil Dev played a knock of 163 runs off 165 balls with 19 fours and 1 six. Kapil Dev is one of the most successful all-rounders in Test cricket history and his record of highest Individual score at No.7 which is now the second-highest was at No 1 for a very long time.

#1 Ravindra Jadeja

The rockstar of the Indian team Ravindra Jadeja broke all the records with his incredible performance at the Mohali test against Sri Lanka. Jadeja played a 175* runs knock in the first innings of India and he became the star of the match. Jadeja scored 175* in 228 balls with 17 fours and 3 sixes.

Jadeja made the highest individual score in tests at No.7 for India. He also took 5 wickets in the first innings of bowling and later 4 wickets in the second innings of bowling which shows what a performance he has delivered at Mohali which will be remembered for a very long period.
