Aymeric Laporte has been given the permission to land in Spain

With 51 caps, he Spain international has represented France in U17, U18, U19 and U21 sides. He has been called up at the senior level for times, but has not made his debut.

After struggling to compete with France, Manchester City star is set to change his nationality to Spain, as reported by MARCA.

Although Laporte was born in France, his career needs a change. We have seen many players who changed their nationality and are playing for a different country now.

Spain head coach Luis Enrique requested the board to look into the Laporte’s situation in view to being picked for the upcoming UEFA Euro this summer.

According to the rumors, FIFA has given their approval for Laporte to play for Spain. However, an official announcement is to be made tomorrow.

La Roja will announce their 26 man squad soon, with Laporte expected to be selected. Soon we will get to know who will be playing by Sergio Ramos’ side.

Laporte has played 27 games in all competitions this season. He has scored a winning goal for Man City in the Carabao Cup final against Tottenham last month.

Despite the fact that he hasn’t got much chances to play in most of the games, the 26 year old is a great defender overall.
