EURO 2020: Italy defeat Wales, both qualified for the knockout stage

Italy faced Wales in their group A stage match of UEFA Euro 2020

The 25th match of UEFA Euro 2020 was played between Italy and Wales. The former defeated their opponent by a goal difference.

The Italians had 70% ball possession, completing 594 passes and 23 attempted shots. They really had a great advantage over Wales during the game.

The first and only goal of the game was scored by Matteo Pessina in 39th minute.

Wales’ defeat didn’t affect them in technical way. They are qualified for the knockout stage with Italy being the first team to do it in tournament.
