Lionel Messi is the first player to score 30+ goals in 9 consecutive seasons
On Sunday, Barcelona lost 1-2 to Celta Vigo in a do or die match. They are out of the La Liga title race after the frustrating defeat. Now the race is left between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid only.
We all know how Leo Messi has been carrying Barca since 2018. He is the top scorer of La Liga this season with 30 goals.
With his 30 goals this season, he has became the first ever player to score more than 30 goals in 9 consecutive league seasons.

Cristiano Ronaldo is just a goal away from becoming the second player to do the same. He has scored 29 goals in Serie A this season.
To do so, he is left with only one game which is against Bologna on 23rd May. Juventus have a fixture on 20th May too but that’s not of Serie A, but of Copa Italia final against Atalanta.
Though Barca’s title dreams are over, they have at least qualified for 2021/22 UEFA Champions League.

Talking about the the situations, Barca’s women team looks more inform than Ronald Koeman’s squad. Barcelona Femeni became the first team in history to lift the Women’s UCL trophy.
