Newcastle United are willing to sign Santiago Munoz

The fans would be amazed to hear the news of this transfer that will no doubt delight them of the GOAL! film series. Newcastle United have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Mexican striker Santiago Munoz.

The Premier League side is on the verge of signing a player called Santiago Munoz. But sadly he is not the fictional character who played alongside the great Gavin Harris in the movie series.

The highly-rated 18-year-old currently plays for Liga MX club Santos Laguna. According to reports, he is set to fulfil his dream of playing in England.

ESPN reported that Newcastle has already reached an agreement to sign Munoz. They have claimed that a full agreement will be reached in the next few hours and the ‘fiction’ will turn into ‘reality’.

Not only this, TUDNMEX journalist Daniel Velasco has reported the Mexican forward will sign a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.

Velasco added: “He will try his luck in European football, and why not, emulating the story of Santiago Muñez in the Gol saga. The negotiations are in the final stages and it seems a matter of hours before it becomes official.”

Back in February, Newcastle United’s tweet made fans super excited when they responded to it about the talented forward.

Now, it is more like a movie is going to happen.
