Erling Haaland (Full Name – Erling Braut Haaland) is a Norwegian striker born on 21st July 2000 in Leeds, United Kingdom. His father’s name is Alf-Inge Haland and mother is Gry Marita Braut. He has a sister, Gabrielle Haaladnd, and a brother, Astor Haaland.

Childhood

Haaland’s parents moved back to their home country Norway after his birth. He developed much interest in football rather than his academics.

Having a passion in making a football career, he registered himself into the local football club called Bryne.

Career

When he was aged 15, Haaland made his professional debut for Bryne. He continued scoring the goals and bagging the assists.

His talent made him attract the top tier Norwegian club ‘Molde FK’ and so joined the club in 2017.

In Januray 2019, Haaland joined RB Salzburg and became a phenomenal player at the Austrian club.

Soon he became the second player after Karim Benzema to score goals in three consecutive UEFA Champions League games.

The 2019–20 season saw him became the first teenager to score in five consecutive UCL matches and then continued to win the 2020 Golden Boy award.

In January 2020, Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund and has netted at least a goal in each match for the team since his debut.

Though the 21 year old was born in England, he chose to play for Norway instead. He scored a hattrick against Scotland and helped Norway to qualify for UEFA U-19 Championship.

He has also represented U-20 side against Honduras in the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup. After giving iconic performances in U-21 side, he was called up for the senior squad.

Erling Haaland holds the unbelievable record of scoring 9 goals in FIFA U-20 World Cup.
