Naomi Osaka wins US Open title for the second time

Sports Desk – Naomi Osaka of Japan defeated Victoria Azarenka of Belarus to win the US Open title. Osaka pulled away to a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 comeback victory for her second U.S. Open championship and third Grand Slam title overall.

Azarenka reached the final of the US Open for the third time but she also lost this time. Earlier, she also reached the finals of US Open in 2012 and 2013 but both of them had to face defeat at the hands of Serena Williams.

Naomi Osaka is the first woman to win her first three Grand Slam finals since Jennifer Capriati (2001 AO, 2001 RG, 2002 AO).
