As a result of Verstappen’s stop during normal racing circumstances, Norris was able to pass the pits and grab the lead.

Despite his difficulties at the wheel, Verstappen finished second. Charles Leclerc finished third, ahead of Carlos Sainz, his Ferrari teammate, who collided with Piastri late in the race, causing Piastri to pit for a replacement front wing.

After completing another Safety Car stop, Sergio Perez finished fifth in the second Red Bull. Sixth place went to George Russell for Mercedes, while eighth place went to Lewis Hamilton for the team.
