On Monday, Lionel Messi played his 500th match for Barcelona

Leo Messi achieved a new milestone in his career. He played his 500th La Liga game for Barcelona against Huesca, defeating them by 0-1.

While playing for Barca, Messi, 33, scored 644 goals and gave 284 assists in total. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €100 million.

Before this, Messi broke Pele’s record of most goals for a club. Messi scored his 644th goal for Barca surpassing Pele’s 643 goals for Santos FC. Pele also congratulated him for this milestone.

On the other hand, Pele’s another record of most goals scored in all competitions has been broken by Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo scored his 758th career goal against Udinese surpassing Pele’s 757 goals throughout his career.
